Generally speaking, Caribbean medical colleges are educational establishments that prepare students for the medical profession in Jamaica, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. In Italy , the contents of the medical faculty admission test is decided every year by the Ministry of Education, Universities and Analysis (MIUR) and consists of eighty questions divided in 5 categories: logics and “general training” (“cultura generale”), arithmetic , physics , chemistry , and biology Results are expressed in a nationwide ranking.
That is adopted by a compulsory 12-month full-time internship at an authorised hospital after which one applies for registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board if they intend to follow drugs within the country.
Training lasts four, five or six years, with the last two years within the affiliated educating hospitals (UCD – St. Vincents University Hospital, Mater Misericordiae University Hospital ) (Trinity – St. James’s Hospital , Adelaide and Meath Hospital incorporating the National Children’s Hospital) (UCC – Cork University Hospital ) (RCSI – Beaumont Hospital , Connolly Hospital , Waterford Regional Hospital ). For Programmes that are six years in size, entry is predicated on secondary college qualifications.
The degree conferred is called Bachelor of Clinical Drugs (BCM). In Pakistan a medical college is more often referred to as a medical faculty. Many medical college students opt to carry out their thesis throughout their studies at medical school, but solely a fraction of them is ready to finish the dissertation-process during their studies.
